fuelcellmaterials.com offers a broad selection of Yttrium-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) powders. YSZ is a purely ionic conductive electrolyte over a wide range of oxygen partial pressures, which finds wide applicability in SOFC cells, oxygen generation systems and sensors. They can also be used as a component in composite electrodes (anodes and cathodes.) The TC grade of YSZ is most popular for tape casting electrolyte material for SOFCs because of its tailored surface area and particle size distribution. fuelcellmaterials.com also offers coarser YSZ powders tailored for the production of high porosity electrodes with stable microstructure and performance over time.
fuelcellmaterials.com offers both Gadolinium- and Samarium-doped ceria powders in two grades, a 5-8 m2/g conventional grade of powder, tailored for processes requiring high slurry solids loading such as tape casting or slip casting, and a high surface area material (~40 m2/g) tailored to provide excellent sinterability at lower processing temperatures.
In addition to standard materials listed here, fuelcellmaterials.com offers our customization services for electrode design and production. We can tailor powders to the physical specifications your process requires. Please visit our Custom Materials Request Page to submit a request or join other requests for already approved custom materials. Once we receive enough requests to make a batch, the gauge on the page will reflect this and we will begin filling orders.
