Description
This composite cathode powder is a 50/50 wt% mixture of lanthanum strontium cobalt ferrite and Gd-doped ceria, and is typically used as the first layer in a two-layer cathode, where the second (top) layer is pure LSCF. This two-layer approach provides higher performance than single-layer LSCF cathodes, and can be used with all ceramic electrolyte materials. A ceria barrier layer is recommended when using LSCF-GDC cathodes with zirconia based electrolytes. Our LSCF-GDC cathode material can be applied by screen printing, painting or spraying after it is formulated into appropriate inks or suspensions.

Since our LSCF-GDC Composite Cathode Powder is a mixed component powder we do not have a particle size specification. This powder uses LSCF-P and GDC10-TC as its components. The powder’s particle size distribution will be bimodal once processing is complete. Rest assure this cathode powder has been created for solid oxide fuel cell applications in mind. If you require different ratios or formulations that we do not offer please let us know; we would love to help.
