Description
Yttria fully stabilized zirconia (with 8 mol% Y2O3) is a commonly used and well characterized ceramic electrolyte material. YSZ-8 is used as an SOFC electrolyte membrane in solid oxide fuel cells and as a component in composite cathodes or cermet anodes. The relatively high surface area and fine particle size characteristics of this YSZ-8 powder make it well suited as an additive for controlling sintering shrinkage of YSZ electrolyte and or anode layers in SOFCs.
