Nexceris is excited to deliver Solid Oxide Stacks and RSOC technologies presentations at the 17th International Symposium on Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC-XVII), which will take place digitally from July 18-23, 2021. The SOFC-XVII Symposium is sponsored by the High-Temperature Energy, Materials & Processes Division of the Electrochemical Society, Inc. and the SOFC Society of Japan. It has been the preeminent meeting on SOFC science, technology, and applications for over 30 years, consistently attracting hundreds of leaders in the field.
David Kopechek, a member of our Fuel Cells and Electrolyzers Business Unit, will present an Update on Nexceris’ Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Stack Technology on Sunday, July 18. The presentation will highlight stack robustness against thermal gradients, thermal cycling, and one-off events, which have been achieved through a combination of design modifications, sealing advancements, and operational protocols. Nexceris’ stack technology maintains the key advantages of its patented FlexCell planar cell design, internal reforming capability, and tolerance to sulfur impurities in military logistic fuels.
Dr. Emir Dogdibegovic, also a member of our Fuel Cells and Electrolyzers Business Unit, will present on Development of Solid Oxide Electrolysis and Reversible Solid Oxide Cell and Stack Technologies at Nexceris on Thursday, July 22. An increasing demand for long-term energy storage, reduced carbon emissions, more resilient grid, and the lowest cost grid balancing solutions, promotes solid oxide electrolysis cell (SOEC) and reversible solid oxide cell (RSOC) technologies. RSOC can serve as a grid storage device (hydrogen production) and power production plant (provide electricity during peak demand).
